Went to Vegas again on Nov 17th for a gambling birthday with a few people from the punters lounge forum, mcfc, ubermonkey, f-tipper, and 2 of tippers mates,
Friday was spent travelling and meeting up with people on cheap flights(mcfc) and taking in the awe of Vegas, if you've never been, your missing out on a treat
Saturday was a wicked day, in the morning we played the Imperial Palace 9am $65 mtt, i finished 11th and mcfc 10th in a tourney full of pissed yanks or knackered brits, so with no money being won, we went for a game of golf at the calloway golf centre, none of us had played for ages but hey, it was a good laugh and new tiger woods were born! Later that evening we went to the boxing at the Thomas and Mack centre, Manny Pacquiao vs Erik Morales, the 3rd fight in the series, Manny was like a man possessed and proceded to destroy Morales awesome atmosphere with 22k mexican and 2k philipino fans in the crowd......1 fight on the undercard saw a boxer take 5 consecutive punches to the nuts, and he still got up to fight, until the other guy was disqualified after the 5th lol
Sunday myself and uber had a trip to San Fransisco to see the mighty 49ers in action against the Seattle Seahawks, who were massive favourites to win the game, unbeleiveably the 9ers pulled it off and won 20-14 with a man of the match performance from Frank Gore.
Mon-Tues-Wed....full of poker, shopping and spotting celebs in the high stakes poker rooms, where uber and mcfc managed to cash in a few tournies, i was off form, but i came with money i knew i could afford to lose, so was in no way disheartened, til my str8 on the turn was busted by a FH on the river....damn yanks.
Great time was had by all and i cant wait for next year! WSOP2007 whoooop
