Virgin Poker Festival Results!

Howdy,

All of us here just wanted to say thank you for coming to the very first Virgin Poker Festival this weekend. We had a fantastic weekend and now have the hangovers to prove it! It was great getting to meet so many of you in person and hopefully you had just as good a time as us.

If you didn’t manage to stay around to the end of the night here are all the details of who won what and you can watch highlights of the weekend on the Poker Week show on SkySports 1 at 11pm this Thursday (29th Nov).

We have lots of pictures of the Festival and these will be on our Facebook group, in the next 24 hours. If you’re not already signed up to the group find out how to see them here - http://www.virgingames.com/poker/loyalty/FriendsOfVirginPoker.aspx

Congrats to David for a great showing and taking the top prize – we look forward to David defending his title at the next Festival.

.

STT Side Event

Congrats to Ian Evans (emsian8144) for taking the plaudits in Sunday’s STT Champs comp plus £475 and 50’000 Flying Club miles. Well done to all those who won an STT and sorry to all who had a wait for a table – it was our first bash at this and we’ll make sure there’s more on next time!!

PokerPlayer Sunday Side Event

We have a bit of a confession here! Once the main event was over we decided to let our hair down and this ultimately resulted in our drunken unconsciousness before the tourney ended. The Broadway is helping us track down the lucky winner so we can give him (or her) his prize and we apologise for missing his big moment.

Wii Bowling

I’m sure some of you will have sore arms today and the best of the slingers was Emile Foyster with a monster score of 251!

Once again thanks for helping to make it so much fun and we hope to see you at our next Festival in Spring 08 for an even bigger and better time (we’ll send you details just as soon as we have them).

Ollie
p.s. This was our first festival and while we thought it went really well we want to make the next one is even better so please let us know about the things you liked and any suggestions of what could be improved. We can’t promise to be able to do everything but will try our very best.

p.p.s Many of you also asked the guys and I lots of questions about the Virgin Poker room over the weekend. As sobriety wasn’t a state familiar to most of us for the 48 hours I’m sure some things will have slipped under the radar. So if you have got any feedback/issues/questions about anything then please drop them to me in an e-mail. Again we’ll try to get as many resolved as fast as possible.
